Today is my son's first birthday! I went into labor on July 1, and he was born at 2:09PM on July 2! I can honestly say that this has been the best year of my life and I have cherished every minute of it. Being a parent has far exceeded any expectations that I had, and the love I feel for this little boy is something that only God could have put into my heart. I know that he is an angel God sent to MrKLB and myself to care for, and our greatest purpose in this world will be to love him. Even at the young age of 1 year I can tell that he touches peoples' lives and brings joy into their hearts. It is an honor to be his Mommy.
We write another blog for Brady that chronicles his daily life. We try to update it with photos at least once a week so that family and friends can share in his life with us. One day he'll read that blog and hopefully know how much he was loved each and every day and look back at photos from when he was a baby. I wrote this over there, but I think it bears repeating:
Brady -
We loved you before we met you, because you were ours. Now that we've met you, we love you even more because you are you!
